Job summary

Daifuku North America is seeking a Machine Operator for the 1st shift in Hobart, IN to run CNC machines, cut and build rollers, and set up equipment.

You will read blueprints and measure parts with a tape, perform milling and other bench operations, and assist assembly while maintaining a safe, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and measure parts.
• Ability to use band saw, hand tools, calipers and perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, molding, and bench operations.

Responsibilities

• Measuring and setting up machines to manufacture a high volume of parts.
• Performing machine shop and mold press operations to support Assembly.
• Detecting defective materials and reporting to the manager.
• Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Following safety regulations.
• Performing preventative maintenance on machines.
• Complying with Daifuku QM&S policies and procedures.
• Ensuring sustainable processes and continuous improvement.
