Daifuku North America in Hobart, IN, is hiring a Fabricator for 1st shift (5:00am–1:30pm), Monday to Friday. Operate fabrication and machine shop equipment to cut, shape, and bend metal parts used in industrial automation.

Read blueprints, measure precisely, and ensure parts meet specs while maintaining quality and safety standards. The role requires reading blueprints, tape measures, and knowledge of quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and interpreting specifications
• Knowledge of standard and metric measurements
• Quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Responsabilités

• Operate fabrication and machine shop machinery to cut, shape, and bend metal parts
• Read job specs and blueprints to determine material needs and machine adjustments
• Set stops/guides to specified lengths using scales or templates
• Position workpieces against stops and align layouts for accurate cuts
• Measure workpiece dimensions to ensure accuracy of machining
• Inspect parts for defects and machine malfunctions; adjust as needed
• Perform routine machine maintenance such as oiling machines and dies
• Comply with Daifuku’s QMS policies and drive continuous improvement
• Support safe work practices and proper lifting and handling
