Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in San Antonio is seeking a 1st Shift Brazer to perform fit-up, fabrication and brazing within our manufacturing facility. You will work with brazing equipment and read drawings to ensure strong, leak-free joints and adherence to safety policies.

The role requires hands-on brazing experience, ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings, and a focus on quality and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or certifications.
• Pass pre-hire and post-hire Vertical Downflow pipe brazing tests.
• Ability to read and understand production AutoCAD drawings, blueprints, work orders.

Responsibilities

• Apply fit up, fabricate, and braze components per Johnson Controls standards.
• Position header parts in jigs or fixtures and clamp securely for brazing.
• Set up and connect brazing equipment: torch, filler rod, flux, gases; adjust flame.
• Inspect braze joints for leaks and perform repairs as needed.
• Read and review blueprints and specifications to ensure accuracy of work.
