Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking an Assembler for the West Bend, WI facility. The role involves producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies for OEM and SCAG products, typically on the 1st shift from 5am to 9am, with additional shop floor support as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, strong hand-eye coordination, basic math, blueprint reading, and prior experience in lean manufacturing or similar environments. Forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and coordinate with other departments.
• Preference for experience with lean manufacturing practices.
• Basic math skills and reading blueprints.
• Experience with light electrical and/or heavy equipment assembly is a plus.
• Experience operating a forklift is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read assembly instructions and parts lists to prepare work.
• Position parts and subassemblies and assemble components.
• Inspect connections and verify specifications with measurements.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and adjust as needed.
• Maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Keep the workspace safe and organized according to standards.
• Manage supplies and inventory and reorder as needed.
• Document production and quality data.
