Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking an Assembler/Production Supporter for first shift in Wisconsin. You will assemble components and subassemblies for OEM and SCAG products, starting 5am to 9am and supporting other shop floor areas as needed.

The role requires reading blueprints, following assembly instructions, and maintaining quality while keeping the work area safe and efficient. Prior experience with light electrical and heavy equipment assembly, lean manufacturing, and forklift use is

Qualifications

• High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments.
• Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently.
• Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task.
• Good finger and hand dexterity.
• Basic knowledge in blue prints reading and torque values.
• Previous experience working within a highly technical environment.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Previous experience with light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment assembly.
• Previous forklift experience.
• Exposure to a Lean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by reading templates or measurements.
• Assembles components by checking connections for fit and fastening parts.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed components.
• Resolves assembly problems by adjusting dimensions and notifying supervisor for resources.
• Keeps equipment operational by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment by following procedures and rules.
• Manages supplies inventory and places orders as needed.
• Conserves resources by efficient use of materials.
• Documents actions with production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team effort and safety compliance.
