Job summary

Propel McKeesport is seeking a Long-Term 1st Grade Substitute Teacher to support classes from December through June. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree and a commitment to high-quality education, strong classroom management, and collaborative teamwork.

You will follow lesson plans left by the classroom teacher, monitor student progress, and provide support during periods without assigned class. A flexible, resilient mindset and willingness to participate in ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience with classroom teaching is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructs scholars and groups in specified content areas.
• Monitors students’ progress in and outside of the classroom.
• Maintains the physical environment of the classroom.
• Carries out lesson plans from the classroom teacher or pre-planned lessons.
