Job summary

The School District of Springfield Township (SDST) is seeking an Elementary Teacher, Long Term Substitute for First Grade. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy engaging with energetic students within a supportive school community.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver standards-based instruction in all core subject areas.
Create a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment that supports academic and social-emotional learning.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of all students.
Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Collaborate with other grade-level/subject-area teachers, specialists, and support staff.
Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school events.
