Job summary

Propel McKeesport is seeking a Day-to-Day Substitute Teacher to cover day-to-day absences within the assigned building. This role offers a pathway to becoming a classroom teacher within Propel Schools, emphasizing resilience, teamwork, feedback, and delivering quality instruction with training.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree; PA emergency certification is available for substitutes. The position includes a daily rate of $175 and opportunities for ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ years classroom experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct scholars and groups in specified content areas.
• Monitors students’ progress in and outside of the classroom.
• Maintains the physical environment of the classroom.
• Carries out lesson plans that were left by the classroom teacher or pre-planned for grade level and subject area.
• Provides support to scholars’ learning when not assigned to a specific classroom, including duties coverage and working with small groups.
