Propel McKeesport is seeking a Long-Term 1st Grade Substitute Teacher to support classes from December through June. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree and a commitment to high-quality education, strong classroom management, and collaborative teamwork.

Description

Propel McKeesport School is currently seeking a Long-Term 1st Grade Substitute Teacher to support classes until the end of the 26-27 school year. Key Job Elements:

• Instructs scholars and groups in specified content areas.
• Monitors students’ progress in and outside of the classroom.
• Maintains the physical environment of the classroom.
• Carries out lesson plans that were either left by the classroom teacher or rolls out pre-planned lessons appropriate for grade level and Subject area.
• Provides support to scholar overall learning when not assigned to a specific classroom, including but not limited to duties coverage, working with small groups of students, etc.

Requirements:

• DTD Substitutes who do not hold a PA certification will be required to obtain a PA DTD Emergency Certification for the year and LEA associated with employment.
• 1+ years working with students in a classroom environment preferred.

Daily Rate: $220/day.
