Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in content area required.
• Valid Louisiana Teaching License preferred.
• Strong technical skills, particularly in integrating technology in the classroom to drive academic achievement.
• Demonstrated volunteer or community service.
• At least two years of successful teaching in an urban environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a blended learning environment.
• Create an inviting, innovative learning environment developing student critical thinking and problem solving.
• Prepare students for strong academic achievement and passing of all required assessments.
• Collaborate with Special Education teachers and administration to serve special needs students.
• Attend grade level and staff meetings and designated school functions outside normal hours.
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order.
• Accept and incorporate feedback and coaching from administrative staff.
• Perform duties including morning, lunch, dismissal, and after-school tasks.
• Performs other duties as deemed appropriate by the principal.
• Dress professionally and uphold school policies.
