Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students within the assigned classroom and appropriately respond to all emergency situations
• Ensure the protection of equipment, materials and facilities as appropriate
• Communicate in a positive way with all students, staff, and others
• Manage student behavior which supports a positive learning environment
• May be required to participate in building events such as fire drills, evacuations, assemblies, etc.
• May need to direct activities of a classroom assistant(s)
