Job summary

Monmouth University is seeking a full-time 1st Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach to support the athletics department. The role includes on-field instruction, player and staff collaboration, scout/video work, and coordinating travel, camps, and recruiting visits.

The position requires a bachelor's degree, CPR and NCAA recruiting certification within six months, and at least four years of lacrosse-playing or coaching experience. Moderate travel and on-site duties apply.

Monmouth University is seeking applications for a full-time 1stAssistant Women's Lacrosse Coach in the Athletics Department.

This is a coaching position which will assist in all aspects of the Women's Lacrosse program including but not limited to: helping withand leading on field instruction; collaboration with players,coaches, and administration; scout and video operations;coordinating class schedules; managing apparel and equipment; camporganization; events management, act as a liaison to conference andother departments within Monmouth University Athletics includingthe Office of Compliance; compile team related stats; plan,coordinate, and execute year-long travel plans; coordinate teamcommunity service activities; and organize aspects of recruitingvisits.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist Head Coach in all areas of coaching including planningand implementing practices, recruiting, team travel, alumniaffairs, equipment purchasing, program planning, dailyoperations.
  • Be available daily for office hours, weight training sessions,conditioning sessions, practices, team functions, team travel, andgames throughout the fall and spring seasons.
  • Responsible for adhering to policies and procedures governingthe Department of Athletics and the University and any applicablerules and regulations associated with the National CollegiateAthletic Association (NCAA), or any other conference ororganization with which the University is or becomes associatedwith which affects University Athletics.
  • Assist Head Coach in all aspects of directing camps andclinics.
  • Assume specific role as designated by Head Coach in practiceand game settings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • CPR and NCAA recruiting certification must be attained withinsix months from date of hire.
  • 4 years of college lacrosse playing/coaching experience or anequivalent combination.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communicationskills.
  • Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive informationappropriately.
  • Must have an understanding of the University's concern foracademics as well as athletic excellence.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word 2016.
  • A valid driver's license in your state of residence and havehad no serious violations (Type A) within the past five (5) yearsand no more than three (3) moving violations (Type B) in the pastthree (3) years. University Policy found here: Monmouth University VehicleUse Policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • High school or collegiate coaching.
  • Collegiate playing experience.
  • Coaching knowledge of the game.
