Job description

Position Title: Aluminum Assembler Wage: $19.39 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:00am-1:30pm (Mon-Fri) QPS Employment Group has a great Aluminum Assembler position available at a company in Saint Charles, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Responsibilities
  • Assembles, packages and labels products.
  • Operates equipment and tools as required. Hand tools include impact wrench, drill, mallet, screw drivers, pneumatic rivet gun, etc.
  • Continuously produces at an acceptable level of productivity with supervision.
  • Produces quality finished goods with acceptable workmanship and with minimal quality issues.
  • Maintains assembly jigs, hand tools, and equipment in good working order.
  • Has basic product knowledge. Know which types of wheels belong on specific products being assembled, model numbers, bearings, nuts, bolts, etc.
  • Keeps a clean and organized workplace by putting tools and hardware in correction locations, keeping floor swept and free of debris and placing trash in proper receptacles.
  • Notifies Production Supervisor of tools in need of repair, low inventory of items used daily, and poor quality of product being assembled.
  • Accurately reads assembly drawings for dimensions, parts list, assembly instructions and CTQ’s.
  • Performs tasks safely including wearing safety glasses and gloves as described in JHA requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Previous manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
  • Ability to read a tape measure in fractions and decimals.
  • Balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and reaches to work overhead.
  • Walks or stands for a minimum of 8 hours with limited breaks.
  • Pushes and pulls materials, fingers and grasps parts and components.
  • Exerts up to fifty pounds of force frequently.
  • Pays close visual acuity to perform inspections and operate machines.
  • Tolerates extremes in weather and machine temperature.
  • Tolerates loud noise.
  • Extensive use with power/hand tools.
  • Requires visual acuity to access details (I.e., prints, parts, work orders, etc.)
  • Requires communication skills so ideas and instructions can be given clearly and/or quickly and understood.
  • Requires the ability to distinguish between speech, machinery, and other sounds to understand instructions and/or directions.
