Job summary

Building & Earth Sciences, Inc is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician Trainee. No experience required, but candidates with basic construction skills and outdoor experience are preferred. The position offers $17+ per hour, depending on experience, with per diem for travel.

We specialize in materials testing and geotechnical analysis on commercial sites. You will learn to document like a detective and perform tests on concrete, soils, rebar, mortar, and more on projects

Qualifications

• No experience required; outdoor construction skills preferred.
• On-the-job training provided and certifications paid by the company.
• Willing to travel with per diem for travel outside local area.

Responsibilities

• Perform materials testing on construction sites under supervision.
• Document findings and assist field technicians in testing concrete, soils, rebar, and mortar.
• Maintain a clean driving record and reliable transportation to branch office as required.

Remote project technicians are paid per diem on top of their hourly rate and are paid for their travel time to different jobs.

SCHEDULING NOTE: This position will require NIGHT shift work as well as some WEEKEND work days. Your daily schedule can change from day to day and you must be able to accommodate a flexible working schedule and have reliable transportation to and from the branch office at all hours of the day if needed.
