Job summary

York Container, an Atlantic Packaging Company, is seeking a FOLDER GLUER HELPER to assist in setup and operation of our press lines. The role focuses on timely production, safety, and quality packaging output for major consumer brands.

You will support the operator, manage scrap, and help with plate hanging and ink handling while following lockout/tagout and reporting procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years corrugated experience or related manufacturing preferred.
• Read production orders and understand basic corrugated terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist operator and helper in setup and running of the machine to minimize downtime.
• Limit scrap waste and tag waste for reporting.
• Deliver scrap waste to the proper department when the scrap truck is full.
• Collect top and bottom sheets (dunnage) to expedite converting process.
• Pack products for shipment as specified for each order.
• Learn and practice lock out/tag out procedures.
• Follow production paperwork and CTI/HRMS reporting processes.
• Hang print plates, mount die boards and handle ink.
• Understand machine mechanics and assist in cleaning the press when scheduled.

Some machine centers REQUIRE Hand and Arm Protection to increase safety and minimize the opportunity for contamination. Company issued gloves and sleeves will be issued if determined necessaryWorking Conditions:Manufacturing environment - not temperature controlled - hot in summer and cold in winter (will need to dress appropriately). No jewelry or baggy clothes due to safety.
