Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in San Leandro, CA. As a member of our team, you will assess patients recovering from anesthesia, implement post-operative care plans, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient transfers.

The role requires one year of PACU experience, an active RN license, and current BLS and ACLS certifications. PALS/ENPC are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a PACU RN.
• Valid RN license in California compliant with state regs.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients recovering from anesthesia and post-op conditions.
• Monitor vitals, consciousness, and recovery progress.
• Administer prescribed medications and post-anesthesia treatments.
• Document care and communicate changes to the team.
• Coordinate handoffs between OR, PACU, and post-PACU units.
• Develop discharge instructions and patient education plans.
