Job summary

Alkegen is seeking a Plant Operator B at the Tonawanda, NY facility to perform a range of manufacturing tasks for specialty fiber materials. You may rotate among functions to support production, ensure productivity and safety, and assist in basic quality testing. A strong safety culture is expected.

The role requires a high school diploma, the ability to work a 12-hour swing shift, and physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. On-the-job training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating swing shift (4 on/4 off).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform material handling in designated workstations with basic proficiency.
• Follow written work instructions and meet productivity standards.
• Report material usage and daily productivity metrics.
• Complete safety assessments and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and safe equipment and work areas.
• Assist in training new team members as needed.
• Provide relief coverage for other production areas.
