Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a Shift Manager Operations at the Tilden Mine site in Ishpeming, MI.

This role provides leadership, direction, and coordination on a rotating twelve-hour schedule to safely and efficiently execute planned work to achieve departmental goals and overall business objectives for the Mine Operations Department. The successful candidate will lead the mine operations team, coordinate with engineering and maintenance, monitor safety, quality, production, and costs, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related heavy industry experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in mining/mineral processing.
• High degree of computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction within the mine operations department to ensure safe, compliant work.
• Direct, coordinate, and motivate personnel to achieve performance targets for the department.
• Ensure safe, quality execution of departmental work and report deviations from the plan.
• Coach personnel and conduct operator performance reviews.
• Collaborate with mine engineering and maintenance to meet safety, quality, production and cost targets.
• Communicate with plant operations to support customer requirements.
