Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is hiring Heavy Equipment Mechanics for the Tilden Mine operation in Ishpeming, MI. You will repair and maintain mining mobile equipment, troubleshoot issues, and support safe, efficient operations. The role demands reading blueprints, working 12-hour shifts, and adapting to rotating schedules in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Two-year Auto/Diesel or similar degree or certified Journeyman.
• Ability to read blueprints, manufacturer manuals, and other instructional items.
• Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, nights, afternoons, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Repair and maintain mining mobile equipment across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Participate in safety hazard recognition.
• Maintain orderly housekeeping.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces as needed.
• Work alone or with other maintenance technicians.
• Work in hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy environments.
