Job summary

Alltrista Plastics LLC, a Jadex Inc. subsidiary, is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee a 12‑hour shift (8:00 a.m. to 8:15 p.m.), with a 3/4 day weekly rotation, starting at $21/hour. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficient production on site in Missouri.

You will standardize manpower, monitor materials, and input data into the Mattec system, while training team members and ensuring timely, accurate reporting. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent computer capabilities incl. MS Office.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with team.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Diplomatic in day-to-day interactions with task urgency.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a plant team.
• Experience in documenting road maps, change-over checklists, batch records.

Responsibilities

• Manage production floor to optimize manpower and material efficiency.
• Provide ongoing training to the shift team for growth and improvement.
• Standardize daily production to exceed customer expectations.
• Document problems and corrective actions via shift notes and reports.
• Ensure fair distribution of work and timely completion.
• Support performance reviews and promotions to supervisors.
• Maintain 5-S and safe working environment compliance.
• Coordinate with maintenance and tooling for issues beyond the team skill.
• Lead continuous process improvements and cost-saving efforts.
• Ensure adequate supplies for smooth operations.
