Qualifications

• Master's degree in special education required.
• Commitment to ensuring academic success for all students.
• Urban setting and diverse student populations preferred.
• Knowledge of IEP process and FAPE.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply student performance data to instructional planning.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education students with specially designed instruction.
• Prepare individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with school-based related service providers.
• Collaborate with team on curriculum and student needs.
• Assess student needs using standardized tools and informal assessments.
• Maintain records of reevaluation periods and parent communication.
• Integrate technology into instruction.
• Provide differentiated instruction as needed.
• Communicate with parents professionally and about student progress.
