Job summary

SEO (Sponsors for Educational Opportunity) is seeking a Program Manager for the SEO Scholars High School program in New York. You will oversee an 11th-grade cohort of about 80 scholars, delivering workshops, advising, and socio-emotional support to help students navigate high school, college, and career.

You will build lesson plans, guide scholars through college readiness initiatives, and work with 10th/12th grade teams to ensure smooth transitions and program success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of K–12 teaching experience required, with college advising preferred.
• Experience working with large groups of high school students.
• Understanding the needs of first-generation and low-income students.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement SEO Scholars programming on Saturdays, after school, and in summers for ~80 scholars.
• Develop effective lesson plans aligned to programming goals.
• Foster an inclusive, college-going culture and supportive community.
• Provide academic advising through 1:1 and group meetings with scholars and parents.
• Maintain program policies, behavioral standards, and high expectations.
• Offer socio-emotional guidance to ensure program completion.
• Develop content and best practices for scholar advising under the Assistant Director.
• Coordinate transitions for 10th and 12th grade staff each summer.
• Assist with Summer Enrichment Program applications.
