Job summary

SEO Scholars is seeking a Program Manager for the 11th grade to guide a cohort of about 80 juniors through advising, workshops, and college planning. You will collaborate with the 11th grade team to deliver Saturday programming, after-school sessions, and summer activities, ensuring an inclusive, college-going culture.

Based in New York City, the role blends in-person office presence at 55 Exchange Place with three days a week on-site, supporting student learning, data tracking in Salesforce,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years of K–12 teaching experience required; college advising experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with large groups of high school students.
• Understanding the unique needs of first-generation and low-income students.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is highly preferred; other languages welcome.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement SEO Scholars programming on Saturdays, after school, and during the summer for ~80 Scholars.
• Build and deliver effective lesson plans with clear objectives and alignment to programming goals.
• Create an inclusive, close-knit and supportive community with a college-going culture.
• Provide academic advising to Scholars 1:1 and in groups and with family meetings.
• Set high expectations and ensure adherence to program policies and behavior standards.
• Track attendance, progress, and use data to guide advising and interventions.
