Job summary

Pulaski County Special School District seeks an 11-month General Custodian at Maumelle High School in Maumelle, Arkansas, to provide a safe, attractive and comfortable place for learning and activity. Responsibilities include scrubbing floors, vacuuming, dusting, washing bathrooms, removing trash, and light grounds care.

Reports to the Building Principal/Area Supervisor. Starting immediately, salary ranges from $15.00 to $21.06 per hour—226 contract days, 8 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial work or willingness to learn.
• Ability to do physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, mop, wax, and polish floors as needed.
• Vacuum and clean carpet.
• Dust and polish furniture, wash windows, woodwork, venetian blinds, and bathrooms.
• Responsible for removal of trash from assigned areas.
• Clean up grounds and perform the routine tasks required in the care of the grounds.
• Move office and school furniture as needed.
• Perform work at varying heights on a ladder.
• Perform some heavy lifting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
