Job summary

Pulaski County Special School District Chenal Elementary - Little Rock, AR is seeking a part-time General Custodian (4 hours/day) to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming school environment.

You will scrub, mop, vacuum, dust, empty trash, perform light maintenance, and support grounds as needed; reports to the Building Principal; salary $15.00–$21.06 per hour, 182 contract days, non-exempt. Starting date: immediately.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial work or willingness to learn.
• Ability to do physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, mop, wax, and polish floors as needed.
• Vacuum and clean carpet.
• Dust and polish furniture, wash windows, woodwork, venetian blinds, and bathrooms.
• Responsible for removal of trash from assigned areas.
• Clean up grounds and perform routine tasks in care of the grounds.
• Move office and school furniture as needed.
• Perform work at varying heights on a ladder.
• Perform some heavy lifting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
