Job summary

Pulaski County Special School District is seeking a General Custodian for Baker Elementary in Little Rock, Arkansas. The position is 4 hours per day, part-time, with a focus on maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment for students.

The role requires prior custodial experience or willingness to learn, and physical capability for light to moderate labor. Reporting to the Building Principal, the job includes floor care, dusting, trash removal, and general maintenance tasks

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial work or willingness to learn
• Ability to do physical labor

Responsibilities

• Scrub, mop, wax, and polish floors as needed.
• Vacuum and clean carpet.
• Dust and polish furniture, wash windows, woodwork, venetian blinds, and bathrooms.
• Responsible for removal of trash from assigned areas.
• Clean up grounds and perform the routine tasks required in the care of the grounds.
• Move office and school furniture as needed.
• Perform work at varying heights on a ladder.
• Perform some heavy lifting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
