Bluebonnet Trails Community MHMR Center is seeking an Intensive Support Specialist to provide person-centered services to adults with severe mental health disorders in Round Rock, Texas. The role involves flexible hours with the potential for remote work for administrative tasks.

The Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS) Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Intensive Support Specialist provides outstanding person‑centered intensive support services to a small caseload of adults with current or historical substance use treatment needs, a diagnosed severe and persistent mental health disorder, and a history of multiple hospitalizations. Services are comprehensive, integrated, community‑based and multidisciplinary, providing psychiatric treatment, social services, and rehabilitation.
This position reports directly to the Behavioral Health Services Manager and supports the development and maintenance of effective, professional working relationships with stakeholders and other community service providers. Hours are flexible, depending on caseload needs. The role offers the option to work remotely for administrative tasks and televideo videoconference services when appropriate.
The Intensive Support Specialist regularly meets with individuals in their homes, community, hospitals, crisis units, criminal justice settings, and at BTCS clinics to provide specialized case management and rehabilitative skills training. Services aim to stabilize mental health symptoms, reduce recidivism risk, increase community engagement, develop self‑advocacy, and support independent behavioral health services participation. The clinician is an integral part of a strong team that shares frequent updates on the recovery process.
The clinician receives unique and specialized training and professional development, focused on services to a small caseload of individuals who have been hospitalized multiple times, and utilizes a state‑of‑the‑art electronic medical record.
Hourly Salary Range: $22.21 – $31.46
