Job Title: Assistant Manager

Essential Functions

Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in all outlined areas and are responsible for all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.

Primary Duties
  1. Brand (30%): Supervise and support associates’ daily goals to deliver exceptional customer experiences, maximize sales/KPIs, and foster customer loyalty. Ensure brand standards such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, and dress code are met. Resolve customer issues and analyze store trends to anticipate customer demands.
  2. People (30%): Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and build a diverse team, identify strengths and opportunities for associates, and address them through coaching or counseling. Maintain positive relations and communication with team members and peers, fostering diversity and inclusion.
  3. Operations (30%): Ensure execution of company processes through training and continuous improvement. Manage inventory, payroll, store opening/closing procedures, and ensure adherence to company directives and projects.
  4. Safety/Loss Prevention (10%): Maintain a safe environment, enforce policies, protect assets, and ensure compliance with safety training and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Preferred 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
  • Preferred 1+ year management experience
  • Leadership ability, effective communication, scheduling flexibility, cosmetology license (desirable)
