Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work; Master’s preferred.
• Valid MA DESE licensure for School Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor and SEI Endorsement.
• Strong clinical skills.
• Growth-focused coaching with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Excellent computer/tech skills with various software apps.
• Commitment to high expectations and equity; closing opportunity gap.
• Self-reflective learner with ability to engage with school community.
• Ability to supervise students across ages.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
• Preferred bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct service to meet the social and emotional needs of students.
• Work directly with all school staff members.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and development.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate with caregivers regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child.
• Participate in planning and implementation of non-instructional activities.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent.
