Job summary

Rock Creek Forest Elementary School in Montgomery County, part of the Montgomery County Public Schools system, seeks a paraeducator to provide 1:1 support for a student in a wheelchair. Training will be provided. The role may involve off-site activities and requires flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Coursework should include behavior management or instructional strategies.
• ParaPro Assessment with a qualifying score of 455+ is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support and care for a student in a wheelchair.
• Support learning activities and help manage behaviors for student access to curriculum.
• Assist with instructional and classroom management supports and related clerical tasks.
• May participate with students in activities off school grounds as needed.
