Job summary

Methuen High School is seeking a Program Assistant 1:1 to support a student with intensive needs throughout the school day, including in class, electives, lunch, and movement between settings. The role requires close supervision, data collection, and comfort with iPad-based communication apps.

Responsibilities include academic support, behavior-plan data collection, and working collaboratively with instructional staff in a substantially separate setting.

Qualifications

• SPED training preferred.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Program Assistant training or experience desired.
• Ability to communicate with TEAM members and maintain a safe educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Support students with disabilities in inclusive settings.
• Assist with behavior plan implementation.
• Provide academic support as needed.
• May assist with feeding and toileting as required.
• Monitor attention, work completion and social navigation.
• Perform duties as assigned by school administration.
