Building Connections Academy in Martinez, CA is seeking a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support for students with autism and developmental differences. You will help students develop communication, social, and life skills in a safe, supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities include implementing individualized programs, data collection to monitor progress, and fostering independence while maintaining a positive classroom culture.

Qualifications

• RBT certification required or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• Immunizations including MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hep B, and TB clearance within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral and educational support in a school setting.
• Implement individualized programs and collect data to track progress.
• Teach communication, social, play, and self-help skills.
• Encourage independence and build positive relationships with students.
