Job summary

The role involves reviewing records, coordinating with families and therapists, designing engaging lessons, and maintaining orderly, confidential progress documentation while applying positive reinforcement and appropriate behavior management.

Qualifications

• Specialized California Teaching Credential (moderate/severe) or with autism authorization.
• Experience with IEP-based services, IEPs, goals preferred.
• Organised, creative, flexible, innovative thinker.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of database system input and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Reviews prior records to identify educational needs.
• Works with parents, therapists, and others on treatment plan.
• Designs lesson plans using current teaching methods; ensures student engagement.
• Implements behaviour management techniques and maintains a structured environment.
• Maintains progress reports, attendance records, and confidentiality.
