Job summary

RSU 40 – Midcoast Maine is seeking flexible Educational Technicians to support students across our special education programs. You will work as part of a collaborative team to provide academic, behavioral, and functional support to students with diverse needs, and may support across classrooms, programs, and schools based on student needs.

Qualifications

Maine Ed Tech I, II, or III certification is required or ability to obtain.
Experience working with children preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to support across programs.
Ability to remain calm, patient, and responsive in dynamic situations.
Commitment to student growth, inclusion and dignity.

Responsibilities

Support students in academic, behavioral, and functional skill development.
Implement IEP goals, accommodations, and behavior plans.
Provide 1:1 and small group support in a variety of settings.
Assist with classroom routines, materials, and organization.
Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, and community-based activities.
Build positive, supportive relationships with students.
Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and program teams.
Help create safe, structured, and inclusive learning environments.
