Job summary

Norman Public Schools is seeking a 1-to-1 Resource Teacher's Assistant (Paraprofessional) to support instructional activities at SPECIAL SERVICES CENTER (High-Needs School). The role reports to the Building Principal and requires a Tier 2 Special Education Paraprofessional Certificate or pursuit of the Certificate with CPR, First Aid, and Universal Precautions training.

Qualifications

• Completed two years of study defined as 48 hours of college coursework.
• Has an associate degree (or higher).
• Has taken and passed WorkKeys, ParaPro, or OGET; Tier 2 Paraprofessional requirements must be pursued.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and activities for individuals or groups as assigned.
• Supervise students in instructional settings and during non-instructional times.
• Prepare and adapt instructional materials as directed by teacher; assist with classroom setup.
