Qualifications

• Must meet Tier 1 Paraprofessional Requirements.
• Two years of college (minimum 48 hours) or an associate degree.
• Pass WorkKeys, ParaPro, or OGET as applicable.
• Oklahoma Special Education Paraprofessional Certificate required or willing to obtain Tier 2 within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and activities as directed by the teacher.
• Supervise students in instructional and non-instructional settings.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate with staff and families.
• Prepare and adapt instructional materials and teaching aids.
• Serve as main contact for substitute teachers.
• Support behavior management and respond to student needs.
• Assist with transportation and light classroom duties as needed.
• Complete required trainings and certifications (CPR/First Aid, Universal Precautions).
