West Valley School District is seeking a One-to-One Special Education Paraprofessional at WV Middle Level Campus in Yakima, WA. The role supports teachers, assists students one-to-one or in small groups, and reinforces learning in multiple settings while maintaining student records.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and adherence to ESEA Highly Qualified requirements. Bilingual preferred and CPR/First Aid may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Meet one of the following ESEA Highly Qualified Requirements: 2 year post-secondary degree or 72 quarter credits; or equivalent.
• Have passed the paraprofessional assessment: ETS Parapro 455+, Pearson Parapro 220+, Master Teacher Parapro Online Training 65%+

Responsabilités

• Assist students individually or in small groups to present/ reinforce learning concepts.
• Follow a structured teaching and learning plan.
• Carry out direct instruction tutoring and support classroom instruction.
• Maintain progress records and inform teacher of student progress.
• Support with IEP requirements in daily lesson plans.
