Job summary

Washoe County School District in Reno is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator Aide III for a 32 hours/week, 180 days schedule at Hug High School. The role supports teachers, assists students with IEP goals, and may provide one-on-one or small-group help in various SPED programs.

Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent and meeting Title I Highly Qualified requirements via credits, an associate degree, or ParaPro/ParaPathways scores.

Qualifications

• Must be Highly Qualified for a Title I School.
• High school diploma or its recognized equivalent.
• Requirements: 48 college credits OR an associate's degree OR ParaPathways/ParaPro scores.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in a special education classroom with instructional activities.
• Provide individual or group support according to student needs.
• Offer attendant services to students with various disabilities and support safety and behavior plans.

Education

48 semester hours of credit

Associate's degree or higher

ParaPathways reading/writing 332+ and math 334+ or ParaPro 455+
