Job summary

Stockton Unified School District is seeking a dedicated One-on-One Assistant to support a severely handicapped student ages 3–22. The role involves instructional support, mobility assistance, and supervising daily activities under the teacher’s guidance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; 1 year experience with handicapped students preferred.
• Ability to follow teacher guidance and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work under supervision of certificated staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist student to and from buses and classes.
• Assist in independence mobility and daily living skills.
• Support development and implementation of individual education plans under teacher supervision.
• Supervise and monitor student during activities and breaks; document progress.
