Job summary

Moon Mountain in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Special Education Assistant/1 on 1 Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in a diverse classroom. You will provide materials, work with students individually or in small groups, assist with daily activities, and communicate with parents on progress and concerns.

The role includes supervising playground and cafeteria duties and helping prepare activities. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and CPR within 30 days; Title I school

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED prior to hire; CPR certification within 30 days.
• 60 college credits or an associate’s degree or passing paraprofessional test.
• CPR certification within thirty days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education students individually or in groups on projects and activities.
• Monitor behavior and enforce school/classroom rules; document incidents.
• Assist with feeding, toileting, and daily living activities as needed.
• Monitor playground/cafeteria safety; accompany students between areas.
• Prepare classrooms and materials; support lesson planning and grading.
• Communicate progress with parents regarding concerns and improvements.
• Perform other duties as required.
