Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools' Hollingsworth Academy in Vancouver, WA seeks a Special Education 1:1 Paraeducator Bus Duty to assist on home-to-school runs and during emergencies.

You will support the bus driver, help load/unload wheelchair-bound students, manage student behavior per IEPs, and complete required paperwork. This is a part-time role with 0.17 hours daily and 190 days yearly.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.
• Ability to work with and supervise students.
• Preference for experience with behaviorally disabled students.
• Flexible, initiative, cooperative and confidential.
• Detail-oriented for completing paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist the bus driver in loading and unloading wheelchair-bound students.
• Maintain a positive climate for students during transport.
• Ensure safety and quick response during emergencies or evacuations.
• Complete daily student behavior management forms and submit to supervisor.
• Support and implement IEP-driven behavioral plans.
