Job summary

Attleboro Public Schools seeks a Paraprofessional 1:1 for the 12+ Transition Program at Attleboro High School. You will support students with disabilities in instructional and community settings, assist certified staff, and help with data collection to monitor progress toward transition goals.

Qualifications

• Highly qualified; completion of college-level coursework (2 years or associates) or passing of Paraprofessional exam.
• Experience with young adults or students with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Safety care training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works with student individually, in small groups, and with whole class.
• Assists with data collection on academic, social, and behavioral progress.
• Supports in non-instructional areas such as arrival/dismissal and lunch.
• Assists teachers with parent contact to foster involvement.
• Participates in IEP process as a resource to the team.
• Ensures safety rules and procedures are followed in all student activities.
