Job summary

School District 622 - North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale is seeking a Special Education paraeducator to support classroom instruction and student activities. The position is 32.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.

– 3:30 p.m., with a Fall 2026 start date and a pay rate of $24.54 per hour. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with multiple transfer options, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and strong communication while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher education or ParaEducator test eligibility preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and restrain students in emergencies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction and support students in various subjects.
• Provide classroom assistance: implement plans, prepare schedules, organize materials, assist with activities.
• Support staff in meeting individual student needs and safety; monitor progress and document IEPs.
