Job summary

RXinsider LTD. is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter for a contract role in a Fort Wayne area school. The position supports a PreK student, providing approximately 30 hours per week from ASAP through May 25, 2027.

You will interpret in classrooms and meetings, collaborating with teachers and specialists to meet IEP accommodations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. This role offers meaningful impact on a young learner's education.

Qualifications

• Valid Sign Language Interpreter certification required.
• Experience in schools or with children preferred.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver interpreting services for a Deaf or Hard of Hearing student in various school settings
• Facilitate clear, accurate communication between the student, educators, school staff, and peers
• Interpret classroom lessons, meetings, and school activities or events
• Help the student fully participate in the educational environment
• Partner closely with teachers and special education professionals to address individual student needs
• Follow IEP accommodations and adhere to school policies
• Exercise professionalism and maintain strict confidentiality at all times
