Job summary

Stillwater Area Public Schools seeks a compassionate RN to provide 1:1 clinical care for a medically complex student at Lake Elmo Elementary and serve as the district float nurse. The role ensures safety, medical stability, and equitable access to learning, with collaboration among LSN, educators, and families.

The RN will accompany the student during daily activities, including transportation, follow IHP/ECP plans, and coordinate with healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• Licensed by Minnesota Board of Nursing as an RN (ADN or higher).
• Current CPR certification required.
• Minimum of one year RN experience, preferably in pediatric or school health.
• Experience with complex pediatric health needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous 1:1 nursing monitoring and interventions for the student.
• Manage medical technology and equipment (ventilator, G-tubes, CGM, etc.).
• Administer routine and emergency medications per physician orders.
• Identify and manage medical emergencies and CPR/First Aid as needed.
• Support safe student transport and on-site care during school activities.
