Job summary

BlazerJobs, Inc. is seeking a dedicated 1:1 school nurse to support a student with epilepsy in Brookhaven/Media, PA. This full-time contract runs through the end of the 2026-2027 school year, starting ASAP and extending through June 10, 2027.

The nurse will provide individualized care during school hours, document seizures, and coordinate with school staff to ensure safety and learning continuity. The role requires a PA LPN license with at least two years of school-based pediatric experience,

Qualifications

• PA LPN license required.
• 2+ years in school-based and pediatric settings.
• Experience with seizures and epilepsy care.
• Reliable attendance and transportation.
• Ability to obtain PA clearances.
• Comfortable in an urban school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, individualized nursing care for a student during school hours, including monitoring and documenting seizure activity.
• Deliver immediate medical intervention guided by the student’s seizure action plan.
• Safeguard the student’s wellbeing during school hours and van transportation, accompanying them between Brookhaven and Media, PA.
• Observe and assist with post-seizure recovery per medical protocols.
• Supervise and assist with restroom visits, provide incontinence care when necessary, and offer minimal meal support.
• Maintain clear, detailed daily documentation across all areas of student care and interaction.
• Partner with paraprofessional and school staff to optimize the student’s educational engagement and health needs.
