Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, individualized nursing care for a student during school hours, including monitoring and documenting seizure activity.

• Safeguard the student’s wellbeing during school hours and van transportation, accompanying them between Brookhaven and Media, PA.
• Observe and assist with post-seizure recovery per medical protocols.
• Supervise and assist with restroom visits, provide incontinence care when necessary, and offer minimal meal support.
• Maintain clear, detailed daily documentation across all areas of student care and interaction.
• Partner with paraprofessional and school staff to optimize the student’s educational engagement and health needs.

• Deliver immediate, appropriate medical intervention guided by the students seizure action plan.
• Safeguard the students wellbeing throughout the school day and during van transportation to and from school, accompanying them between Brookhaven and Media, PA.
• Observe and assist with post-seizure recovery, addressing fatigue and drowsiness per medical protocols.
• Supervise and assist with restroom visits, provide incontinence care when necessary, and offer minimal meal support.
• Maintain clear, detailed daily documentation across all areas of student care and interaction.
• Partner with paraprofessional and school staff to optimize the students educational engagement and health needs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid, active LPN license in Pennsylvania.
• At least two years of LPN experience in school-based and pediatric environments.
• Confident in seizure and epilepsy care, including action plan implementation.
• Reliable attendance, strong transportation, and ability to ride the van with the student.
• Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
• Ability to secure all required Pennsylvania clearances.
