Boston Speech Therapy is seeking a dedicated School Nurse for a full-time contract position in Somerville, MA. You will provide one-to-one nursing care to a student, including feeding tube management and epilepsy-related care during the school day.

The role requires a valid RN license with CPR and First Aid, experience in pediatric healthcare, and strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, families, and healthcare providers.

Formación

• Valid nursing license with CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience as a School Nurse or in pediatric healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of pediatric health conditions and treatments.
• Ability to assess and respond to medical emergencies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide one-to-one nursing care and medical support to the assigned student.
• Manage feeding tube feeds and provide appropriate care according to the student’s healthcare plan.
• Monitor seizure activity and respond to epilepsy-related medical needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assess and respond to medical emergencies.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to develop health plans.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records.
