Job summary

Soliant is seeking a compassionate registered nurse or highly experienced licensed practical nurse to support a 1:1 elementary student with complex medical needs in Massachusetts. The role is full-time for the school year, with potential extension through summer programs, and involves collaboration with school staff and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities include medication administration, seizure protocol implementation, health monitoring, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

Active nursing license (RN in MA) or experienced LPN in MA.
Experience with pediatric complex medical conditions, especially neurological and seizure disorders.
Comfort administering medications for epilepsy and monitoring for changes.
Prior school nurse or pediatric nursing experience preferred.
Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Ability to respond effectively in crisis situations.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 nursing care throughout the school day for the assigned student.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for side effects.
Implement physician-ordered seizure protocols and monitor student health status.
Communicate regularly with parents, school personnel, and healthcare providers.
Maintain thorough daily health documentation.
Support the student during academic and daily school routines.
