Job summary

Interim Healthcare Inc. is seeking a School Based LPN for 1:1 services in a classroom setting within Hazelton Area School Districts in Pennsylvania.

The LPN will administer medications, develop IHPs/IEPs with educators and families, monitor student health, educate on hygiene, and support IEP meetings while ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment. Typical hours are Monday through Friday aligned to the school schedule, with summer opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing License in the State of Pa.
• Minimum One (1) Year Relative Experience; Required
• CPR Certification
• Valid Driver's License
• Willing to Undergo Pre-employment Screenings

Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Medical Care: Administer Medications, Perform Health Procedures, and Respond to Medical Emergencies for Students with Chronic or Acute Health Needs.
• Develop and Implement Health Plans: Create and Maintain IHPS and IEPS in Collaboration with Educators and Families.
• Monitor Student Health Needs: Track and Assess Students' Physical and Emotional Health, Especially Those with Disabilities or Special Medical Conditions.
• Educate on Health and Hygiene: Teach Students Basic Hygiene, Self-care, and Life Skills Related to Health, Tailored to Developmental and Cognitive Levels.
• Support Special Education Teams: Participate in IEP Meetings and Provide Health-related Input for Students' Educational Planning.
• Promote a Safe and Inclusive Environment: Ensure the Classroom Is Safe and Accessible, Train Staff on Health Protocols, and Advocate for Students’ Health-related Needs.

Essential Functions for the School Based LPN Licensed Practical Nurse:
